I'm the worst blogger ever! I keep meaning to update about the move but I've been too busy going on walkies and chasing sun spots. Sorry!

We're all settled into the house and its tiny back yard! The yard is like 1/3 the size of our old yard but mom says that's tough cookies and we all have to deal. Hmmmfph!

Here's a pic of our new sub. We can see this really cool hill and we can also see Mt. St. Helen and Mt. Hood.

The new house has tons of big windows that let in lots of sun. It is a Boston's dream come true. Here I am showing how much I love the sun.

The weather has been pretty crappy so far but hopefully it gets nicer soon so we can all go to the beach and I can feed Stewage to the sharks.

Long time, no blog! It's been really, really hectic here. But, good news: we are *finally* Portland bound! Mom, grandma, the brat and me leave in a week to move into our new home (well, grandma's not moving, she's just helping us move). Then dad will come out a few days after we arrive bringing the smelly beagle and stewage.

Okay, it's no secret that fall is my absolutely favoritist season evah. It's awesome - the weather is perfect, Christmas presents are right around the corner, we go on lots of walkies and my anniversary is November 1. Martha's Mom here....for the past three years, I have written a tribute to my lovely dogter on her birthday. This year, however, I have been lax, trying to find my way in juggling time with a new baby, husband, work and dog responsibilities...blah, blah, blah. I think I am extraordinarily lucky and blessed that all of our dogs are so wonderful, but Martha is certainly the icing on the cake. The last few months have been a big change for all of us, but Martha has met the challenge and proven time and time again how special she is and how lucky her Dad and I are. I tear up thinking how lucky Seamus will be to grow up with my sweet Martha, always watching over him and making sure we're taking proper care of him.

So, Martha, on your fourth birthday, I send you lots of love and gratitude for being the best dogter a mother could wish for.

It is hot again! It had cooled off to really nice temperatures and we all got to play outside for a few days in a row. Now it's back to 90 degrees so we have to mostly stay inside in the air conditioning. bummer.

That's how I feel right now. It's been really, really, really hot and humid so we've all been lounging around inside the air conditioning being extremely lazy. Yesterday we had a big storm, so big it scared me, and I never get scared. I had to go hide under the bed because I thought I was going to be like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. My Dad had me come out and Mom held me until it was over. Then we didn't have power for like 15 hours. It was crazy.

Also, we all found out yesterday that the new puppy is going to be a boy. I guess I can't really name him "Martha, Jr., Second Best" so I'm thinking of going with "Poof".

Mom, Dad and Grandma went shopping for the new puppy. Nothing. That's what I got. And then someone said, "Oh, no, Martha. We bought you a stroller so you don't have to walk." Seriously. They think this is funny. It's not. I'm moving to Minnesota to be with Ikes because I know his 'rents would never pull this crap.

p.s. The photos were taken by my Dad. They turned out really well considering he is not a photog. Mom said he's learning. I still hate them both right now.

OMD you guys! It is finally SPRING! Can you believe it?! It's like 60 degrees today and sunny, sunny, sunny! It's the most awesomest day evah! Mom, including her parasite, Dad, the hounds, Simple Stew and me all went outside and we played and played and played. Mom said we could go for a walk later this afternoon too.

Mom said I look like a bunny rabbit in this picture (a real rabbit, not Bunny Beagle).

Here I am being athletic. Mom always laughs when people say little dogs are "fou fou dogs" because I'm such a natural outdoorsdog.

The Stewge and I played lots of tug with a toy that my friend, Pepito, left here when I had my Halloweenie party in October.

Here I am beating the crap out of him. I keep trying to break him but he seems to be pretty well made.

Martha’s Mom here…please bear with me and my ramblings on my dogter’s third birthday. I think anyone who writes a blog for their dog, er, helps their dog write a blog, is officially a “Crazy Dog Person”. I know *you*, dear friends and feller bloggers, will understand my thoughts and feelings about a little 15lb Boston Terrier who has taken over our home.

When Martha came to stay with us, the last thing we needed was another dog. We already had several and I was just ending my rescue days after dealing with all the assholes I could handle, er, to focus on graduating college and happenings in our lives. However, the minute my husband and I held that little bundle of worms, it was all over. Martha was here to stay and free to take over our lives.

Little did we understand the dramatic impact such a little Terriorist would have on our lives. Not only did she give me scabies, she opened up a part of myself that no dog has ever done before. Sure, I have always been a dog lover, having had dogs since the time of conception and all throughout my years. I loved dogs and they were members of the family, treated with love and respect and admiration. But they weren’t “little children in furry coats”. Martha has changed all that.

Martha has personality beyond any dog (and most humans) I have ever met. I know there will never be another Martha in this world and I am eternally grateful that she is mine! She is bossy and nosy and uber intelligent and bossy and affectionate and playful and social and bossy and just everything a dog should be. She makes us laugh and smile and talk in weird “Martha” voices and refer to her as our “dogter”.

So, on Martha’s third birthday, I wish that everyone has an opportunity to have a Martha or two in their lives. And I wish all dogs in this world have a chance to live The Life of Martha. And most of all, I wish that our days with Martha are numerous and continue to be filled with laughter.

Let the festivities begin! Because my 'rents don't know the exact date of my birth, they celebrate 31 days of Martha - the whole month of March! My family

A couple of you have mentioned that you thought I was an only child. I am not. I have four siblings. Sometimes I wish I was an only but for the most part, I really like having my family to beat up, er I mean, play with.

Bunny is my 7 year old beagle sister. Mom calls her St. Bunny because she is so patient and tolerant.

Toby is my 9 year old coonhound/whippet mix brother. He's not very dog-like and Mom calls him a p#$@k sometimes but he's not too bad. He does what I tell him and that's all that matters.

Ernies is my 7 year old beagle brother. He's really, really, really bad. Really bad. Like, the baddest beagle to ever walk the planet. B-A-D.

And you all know KST. He's a dork but he makes an awesome punching bag. Here's a photo of him on his first day here. I made sure to let him know *I* am in charge right away!

And, because it's my blog, here is me. It's me as a baby. Mom said I was cheeky right from the start! My birthday is in March and I'll be 3 years old. Mom & Dad aren't sure of the exact date but they chose March 12 to celebrate; however, I prefer to celebrate a birthday month so the entire month of March is for me. I'd recommend you all start shopping for presents for me now.

I'm fine and I was *not* drunk! I have been enjoying the really nice weather we've been having. Yesterday it was 65 and it's supposed to be warm again today. It's like we're in Portland already!

Several peeps have asked me what "KST" stands for and my reply is several things.

So I finally got around to making my Christmas Wish List. Mom started laughing hysterically. I don't know what that was all about but whatever.

First, I want this for Ikes and me. I think it would be nice and snuggly and private.

Next, I figured this is another good husband-wife gift. I may even share with my 'rents and inlaws.

I also want this. You can't eat filet mignon in Tupperware! That'd just be tacky.

Finally, I want this. Just because I'm worth it!

My Mom is crazy. And mean. I don't really like her very much right now. I think she'd better give me lots and lots of cookies if she expects to be back on my good side!

We're supposed to get 2-4" more of snow tonight and tomorrow! I can't wait. I like everyone's suggestion of Ikes and me cuddling during the snow. I wish he was here with me RIGHT NOW!

My little bumpity-bump-bump was diagnosed as a "nodular panniculus". Dr. Gary said it should go away all on its own. Whew! Mom and Dad are very relieved.

It's raining. Can you even believe it?! Mom said it's supposed to turn to snow tonight but it's too warm to stick. I love snow! I get to wear my red Donald Pliner shearling coat when it snows.

So, anyway, today we're all just relaxing and trying to stay warm and dry.

I laughed and laughed because KST and the other boys had to go outside in the rain. Bunny and I didn't have to because 1) we HATE the rain and refuse to go out and 2) we both have bladders of steel and can hold it. Here is more proof of what a Dork KST is.

My new exercise routine

First, I do laps around the yard.

Then I practice some wrestling moves in order to work my abs.

Finally I finish with some boxing.

Yesterday I had a Halloween Bash at my place. I had lots of fun. Mom has to help me with this post because I'm still so tired today!

Tough day at the office

I had to go into work to help my Dad because, as we all know, the hoomans are pretty helpless without us.

First I had to make sure the desk was stable.

Then I was tired of working and had to take a Woofboard break.

Then I was just plain tired and had to take a nap.

Today I got to go to the beach for the very first time. It was pretty cool.

This was the view on our drive there.

Mom said "this ain't Floridah" as we walked up this hill. I don't know what she meant. I had lots of fun running up and down, up and down, up and down!

Here's Dad and me in front of Haystack Rock. Big whoop! But it was better than the crater from yesterday because at least we could see it.

This is my first time in the ocean! I didn't like it.

It wasn't so bad when the water receded.

Mom wanted me to pose for her in various shots because I'm such a good model.

I needed my Doggles but Mom left them at home. The day started off hazy and overcast but soon turned to bright sun! It made me all squinty.

I liked the sand under my toeses.

The big crater

Okay, today we went to go see a big crater. Mom said it's called "Mt. St. Helen's". Um, it's a big crater that exploded way back in 1980, waaaayyyy before I was even thought about.

Here we are crossing over the Oregon/Washington bridge. I don't know why Mom took a pic of it. She's weird.

Here we are stopped right before this really big and long bridge to get to the crater. As you can see, Dad is kissing me because the 'rents are still trying to make up for yesterday. I didn't have the heart to tell him he's kissing the wrong end.

Here we are at Crystal Lake. It was created waaaayyy back in 1980 after the big crater exploded. It was kinda cool but I'm not going to tell that to the 'rents. There were people who fawned all over me too because I'm the cutest dog on the west coast. It's true. Mom said so.

Here's some dead trees from the explosion. It's been 27 years and they still haven't grown back yet!

Okay, the picture you've all be waiting for! The BIG CRATER:

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Big whoop. It's covered by fog and clouds.

After we went and looked at the fog and clouds, er Mt. St. Helen's, we came back to the hotel and then we all walked up to a doggie boutique that is only a couple blocks over. I got a new jacket and some liver treats.

All in all, it was a good day. Don't tell them, but I've completely forgiven the 'rents for yesterday's humiliation. The 5 hour plane ride was sooo totally worth it. I am having a great time out here. Tomorrow we are going to someplace called Cannon Beach. Mom said it's really dog friendly and I'll get to walk in the Pacific Ocean! It sounds totally cool.

And for those wondering about my plane ride, we flew on Northwest. I weigh, ahem, 16lbs because I likes to eat. Everyone at the airport loved me (duh). When we got on the plane, I had to go under the seat but once we were in the air, Mom put the carrier on her lap. All the passengers around us kept telling Mom and Dad how fantastically awesome I am and how much more pleasurable my company was compared to the gazillion crying kids on the plane. I think you should all fly out here and we can have a party. Ikes, you can stay in my room.

They weren't lying!! They really did stuff me under the seat for 5 hours. I thought for sure they were joking. I was sooooo mad. Mom was afraid to take a pic of me on the plane because she thought I was going to rip her head off. Did I mention I was sooo mad?!

Here I am after we picked up the rental car. I was still soooo mad.

Here I am in the hotel. Mom filled my belly with Merrick's Pot Pie so I forgave her but then I got really tired. Mom said I had a long day. Well, duh. Let me stuff her under a seat for 5 hours. Stoopid 'rents.
